Building Your Circle of Support

Our team is passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families through the perinatal period and beyond.

The perinatal period is both transformative and life-changing. It can include family planning, trying to conceive, fertility challenges, perinatal loss, pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum experience.

Clients from across Ontario seek care at Maternal Health Niagara for our dedicated focus on perinatal wellness. Since opening in St. Catharines in 2017, we have supported individuals with a wide range of needs. While our expertise is rooted in perinatal mental health, our services extend across the lifespan—supporting people as they navigate different life stages, including concerns such as anxiety, relationships, identity, life transitions, and healing from past or present trauma.

Our approach is grounded in attachment and connection, and is trauma-informed—centred on safety, trust, and meaningful relationships. We believe in exploring how life experiences shape our sense of self, our relationships, and how we move through different stages of life. We are committed to meeting you where you are, and recognize the importance of finding the right therapeutic fit. We take care in matching you with a clinician who aligns with your needs, preferences, and goals, honouring your unique therapy journey.

Thank you for inviting us to be part of your circle of support.

Warmly,
Emily Pollak, MSW, RSW
Clinic Owner.

Land Acknowledgement

At Maternal Health Niagara, we acknowledge that we gather on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples on Turtle Island.

We are grateful for the enduring presence, knowledge, and strength of Indigenous communities, and for the ways they continue to foster connection, healing, and care. We honour the importance of community and recognize that we are all connected.

National Collaborating Centre for Aboriginal Health

Our team is committed to social justice and to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work. We practice with cultural humility and are guided by anti-racist and anti-oppressive frameworks.

We acknowledge the harm that systems, including the field of social work, have caused Indigenous communities, and the ongoing impacts of systemic and intergenerational trauma. We are committed to ongoing learning, reflection, and accountability in how we show up in our work.
