Welcome!

Hello,

I am Emily, the founder and owner of Maternal Health Niagara. With 17 years of tenure supporting families and my lived experience in my perinatal journey, I am proud to have established the 1st Maternal Mental Health clinic in the Niagara Region. The perinatal period is transformative and life-changing. It can be a time of feeling overwhelmed, isolated and alone. We are here to support you so that you can work towards feeling like yourself again.

After opening our doors six years ago in 2017, we have provided care to hundreds of people, including individuals, children, and families with various needs. Our care areas expand beyond the perinatal period. We are here to meet you where you are at.

My goal at Maternal Health Niagara is to ensure you feel connected, supported and nurtured.

Thanks for inviting us to be part of your circle of support.

Warmly,

Emily Pollak, MSW, RSW

Land Acknowledgement

We would like to acknowledge the use of the land Turtle Island. At Maternal Health Niagara, we gather on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee people.

We are thankful for the healing circle our indigenous community has created to support one another. We believe in this teaching and blend it into our philosophy of care.

National Collaborating Centre for Aboriginal Health

Our team is committed to social justice promoting diversity, equity and inclusion. We practice using cultural humility, anti-racism and anti-oppressive frameworks. We recognize that the field of Social Work has caused harm to the Indigenous community and the systematic institutionalization of trauma inflicted on Indigenous people.
